Japan Visa Document Requirements
The Japan eVisa application requires applicants to provide documents relating to identity, immigration status, travel plans, accommodation, financial capacity, and residential address.

Required Documents for the Japan eVisa Application
All the applicants are required to submit the following documents:
Passport Bio Page Scan
Submit a scanned copy of the passport bio page. The entire page must be visible and easy to read.
Proof of Immigration Status
The applicant must have a valid RESIDENCE PERMIT or a STICKER VISA issued by Australia, Brazil, Cambodia, Canada, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Taiwan, the United Kingdom or the United States of America.
Note: If the document has expired, proof of a valid extension must also be provided, such as an Advance Parole document, passport stamp, or other supporting evidence.

Applicant Photograph
Submit a recent passport-size photograph with a plain white background.
Entry and Exit Flight Ticket
Submit a flight ticket showing your entry into Japan and onward or return travel arrangements.
Detailed Schedule of Stay
Submit a detailed schedule of your stay in Japan, including daily activities, accommodation information, and specific locations you plan to visit.
Bank Statements from Your Country of Residence
Submit bank statements for the last 3 months issued by a bank in your country of residence. Where the account balance is low, supporting proof of current funds may also be provided.
Proof of Residential Address
Provide ONE of the following documents to confirm your current place of residence:
- Recent utility bill.
- A government-issued driver’s licence or national ID.
- A lease agreement or proof of home ownership.
Marriage or Birth Certificate
Applicants must upload a scanned colour copy of their Birth certificate or Marriage Certificate.
If the document is not in English, a notarised English translation must be uploaded.
What Happens After Submission
After submission, the Japan eVisa application will be reviewed to make sure all documents are clear and complete. The details in your documents will also be checked for consistency.
If any error or missing information is found, Japan eVisa support will contact you by email to outline the necessary corrections or request resubmission if needed.
